LP Tank Added to M416 trailer

I installed my new light weight LP tank on the M 416 trailer today. Empty the tank weighs in at 9 lb. which is half the normal tank. For our adventure travels I am trying to drop as much weight as I can. The lighter the trailer the better.

The tank is made of fiberglass and is translucent for fuel-level viewing. There will be no corrosion issues and the tank will not rust.

The installation was very straight forward. I fabricated a platform for the tank with a 1/2″ ring to hold the tank base. Added a little black hammered paint and presto an new tank mount. The tank is strapped down using a ratchet strap and I also will add a cable lock to prevent theft.

The tanks are available from: http://www.lpgastanks.com/

Tomas has lived in Colorado since age 5. Having grown up on the Western Slope of Colorado lots of time was spent in the Desert Southwest. Tomas' father introduced him to the love of 4 wheeling at an early age in the high mountains around Aspen, Colorado. While an avid Mountain Biker, Tomas and his Family enjoy adventures in the mountains and desert in the remote locations that can only be reached by 4wd. Day hikes are always a must when on the family trips. While enjoying outdoor activities he wants to share his love as a certified 4wd trainer and ski instructor. Tomas also enjoys caving and cave exploration. Tomas currently resides in Colorado Springs.
