I use a Laptop computer in my Toyota FJ Cruiser for a number of applications. I needed a solid off road mount which I found from
RAM Mounts. RAM Mounts are designed for applications such as Police and Emergency vehicles. The mount connects to the front bolts of the passenger seat which provides a very solid base. The tower is very solid and can be moved up and down to position the laptop at the right height. I use a single arm which positions the laptop in just the right location. The laptop platform is fabricated from aluminum stock.

Does the RAM mount interfere with the passenger seat movement? I slide mine all the way forward when I sleep in the back.
It does not let the set come to the farthest most point.
