Great lids for adventure – Tilley Hats

I have been a hat wearer for sometime with Baseball caps being  the norm.  About two years ago I decided I better start shading my face and neck better and I chose a Tilley Hat. Tilley hats are hand crafted in Canada with quality materials.

The first hat I purchased from Tilley was the TH4 Hemp Hat. The TH4 has a large sunshade brim that is 3 ½” front and back and 2 ½” on the sides. I have worn this hat on a number of our summer and fall adventure trips and enjoyed the comfort and shade that it has provided. I have washed this hat in our front load washer and the hat always emerges ready to be worn.

A few months ago Tilley sent me my second hat to try out. The TWF1 Montana Hat is a felt wool hat that includes  fold down ear flaps. This hat is a good complement to my TH4 for use during colder days.  The hat is crushable and packable which I have found to be a good asset. When not in use I can stuff the hat in my bag or some other out of the way location and not worry about the form of the hat. I wore this hat for a week during our last adventure to Mexico and was pleased by it performance in during the cold and sometimes rainy days. During the cold mornings the ear flaps where greatly appreciated.

Tilley hats are all backed by a Life time wear warranty.
