Having driven a Toyota FJ Cruiser for 4 years I have found that the road and wind noise is a little on the high side. In an effort to control this in our new FJ, I decided to install some Dynamat Xtreme while I had the interior trim panels pulled.The Dynamat will reduce noise as well as help keep the interior of the FJ cooler during the summer months.

Dynamat consists of an aluminum skin covering an adhesive butyl layer. The material conforms and adheres to the interior surfaces in the FJ.

I applied the Dynamat to the Roof, rear fenders and the rear deck of the FJ. I also used the Dynamat to hold wiring in place to prevent rattles and vibrations.

After reinstalling the interior trim panels there is a definite decrease in road and wind noise.
