Out Patient Surgery for the FJ Cruiser

One problem running larger tires on the Toyota FJ Cruiser is tire rub on the body mounts right behind the front tires. With the larger tires mounted on our FJ this now became a problem.

I contacted Rockware in Colorado Springs to get the body mounts chopped. With a quick trip to black forest I had the surgery performed.  Mathew Peterson, owner of Rockware, chopped the mounts and welded the plates on in about an hour while I waited.

The chop is very clean and now no rub.

Cost: $100.00
