Ouray has a great public hot springs. When ever we are in town we always make a point of spending an afternoon soaking in the pools. The hot springs are hard to miss at the north end of town next to the visitor information center. Ouray offers 3 pools, a hot soaking pool, the kids pool and a lap pool. The hot pool is a great place to soak away the pains from a long road trip.
Ouray is also the gateway to many of Colorado’s more spectacular drives.
If the large public pool is not your cup of tea there are a number of other hot springs at many of the local hotels. Ouray is well worth the stop.
