Owl Creek Pass provides an alternate route from US Highway 550 in Ridgeway to US Highway 50 near Cimaron. Taking this route bypasses Montrose and provides for a very scenic day. When we drove it in our Toyota FJ Cruiser last week it took only about 45 additional minutes.

On the Aspen side of Pearl Pass a bridge has been washed out. Until the bridge is either removed or repaired it looks like Pearl Pass will remain closed. Let’s hope the county (Pitkin) is willing to fix the bridge so we can all access the pass this summer. Additional information from Pitkin County.
