Need a 60 inch Hi-Lift?

After spending time with Bill Burke this last summer learning more about vehicle recovery I determined that I really needed the 60 inch Hi-Lift. When I purchased my Hi-Lift I did so with out much thought and ended up with the 48 inch jack. The Hi-Lift can be many thing and one is a hand winch. When the the Hi-Lift is setup as a winch it must be re-rigged after each length of the jack bar is used up. By having the 60 inch bar 12 inches are added to each pull.

With the addition of the JackMate the Hi-Lift also can function as a clamp and spreader and having the 60 inch bar enhances this capability as well.

With the desire to end up with a 60 inch Hi-Lift I went to the Hi-Lift site where replacement parts can be purchased for the jack. For around $40.00 I ordered a 60 inch bar and in about 5 minutes I was the proud owner of a 60 inch Hi-Lift.  $40.00 was much cheaper than the $100.0 for a new jack.

If I ever want to go back to the shorted bar I can change back in 5 minutes after I pull the old bar out of storage.
