Our First look – Zamberlan Boots

There is nothing like Italian made boots. While many boot manufactures have moved their factories from Italy to some place in Asia. Zamberlan is one of the few holdouts that sill believes Italian made boots are the best. Having craftsman that have a clear respect for quality and detail and years of experience leads to a better product.

This first look at my new Zamberlan boots, the 967 LHASA BOOT GT RR, shows a boot built with the best materials available and attention to detail.  With this new Zamberlan boot I chose to go with a 10” high cuff.  In many off-road situations here in the south west we are dealing with large rocks, cactus, and mud. With normal height boots I have had mud flow over the top, gotten stuck by cactus or had rocks get in my boot. The added 3 to 4 inches of protection is a welcome addition.

Zamberlan classifies this boot as a field boot for use in mountainous terrain. I would say the rocky mountain meet this qualification.

I will be wearing this boot during our off-road adventure on White Rim Trail and will report back with how they performed in the real word.
