Auxiliary Battery Install

Using the battery platform on the right fender of our 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser made the installation of the second battery very easy. To make room for the battery I first had to relocate the power steering reservoir. I then used a few sheets of polyurethane under the battery to help secure it in place.

I used the j-bolts and clamp from the primary battery as the hold down.

The auxiliary battery is an Odyssey which provides a very robust durable battery.

I like what your doing with your new FJ I own a 2007 which I purchased brand new I finally have started a long list of upgrades. I like Odyssey but don’t have a supplier near me even Batteries Plus in my area say they can’t do special orders so my question is is there a comparable battery in the Optima line ? Once again I like what your doing with the new FJ.

I purchased the Sears Platinum and have been very pleased with it’s performance. It is less expensive than the Odyssey label.
