MAX Coupler Hitch Usage Review

With our extended trip to Alaska this last Summer I was able to get a good feel for MAX Coupler Hitch. “I discuss the installation of the hitch in this post.”

Installing the Extension after the Ferry

The hitch functioned flawlessly for the 9300 miles driven on our Alaska adventure. Having the extendable tongue on the trailer saved money on the ferry portion of the trip by allowing our total length to be reduced by 1 foot.  With the extension in place the trailer tracked much better behind the FJ.

My main concern was in hooking up the trailer. The backup camera installed on the FJ made this a breeze. I was able to watch the alignment in the backup screen and get it almost perfect every time.

Based on my experience on this trip I definitely give the MAX Coupler hitch a thumbs up.
