100 Watt Solar Panel Upgrade

The auxiliary power system is a key part of our Toyota FJ Cruiser build. The system includes a National Luna Charge controller, a solar charge controller, and a second 50 amp hour battery. The original system was built with a 50 watt solar panel and we have found that this panel has not provide enough charge to keep the system running when the FJ is parked for extended periods of time. The systems main draw is our ARB fridge as well as a few other small components. To help keep the system running longer I just purchased and installed a new 100 watt solar panel that replaces the 50 watt panel.

Lets hope the additional power keeps the system running. At a cost of about $120 off eBay I hope this is money well spent.
