All Pro Front Bumper Mods

I finally have my All Pro Off Road front bumper reinstall complete. The powder coat on the original was junk and started pealing off after a year. I figured if I was going to get it powder coated I would also make some modifications to the bumper.

The first issue was do modify the bumper wing so it would no longer contact the body work. I made a template and created a nice contoured cut on each wing so the bumper clears the body.

The next modification was to make cut outs in the wings to mount fog lights. In Colorado, with the snow, fogs can be a great asset. The only problem running the All Pro was it was hard to get the fogs mounted lower than the head lamps. With my modification the fogs are in the correct locations. There are mounting tabs welding in behind the wing.

The next order of business was to modify the shackle mount to prevent damage from rock contact. I was slowly mashing the steal. I welded a small skid over the mount point which should help the shackle mounts from slowly getting crushed.

With the modification to the shackle mount the lower bumper skid would no longer attach the way All Pro had it. I modified this by creating 2 mounting tabs on the lower part of the bumper. This also allows the lower skid to be moved down  a little so i makes better contact with the lower frame cross member.

The only additional modification I made is the backing plates for the light bar are welded into place.

Here are some additional shots of the finished bumper.

All said, I am still very happy with the All Pro bumper. I feel that I have just made the best better.
