The Toyota FJ Cruiser is just asking to be modified. As and owner and enthusiast, I purchased my FJ as a platform for modifications. Prior to my purchase I researched and found that there were a number of companies providing aftermarket parts for the FJ Cruiser. If you are, as I am, interested in modifying your FJ Cruiser much thought needs to go into the order and types of modifications you want to make.
I recommend first determining what the function of your FJ will be and the type of terrain you will be dealing with.
- Blacktop Only – Mild off-road use – Off-road trail access vehicle – Adventure / Expedition Travel – Recreation 4 wheeling – Mild Rock Crawling – Rock Crawling – High Speed Baja Type Driving
What type of Terrain will you be deailing with:
- Wet and muddy – Rocky – Rock Crawling – Desert – High Altitude
