Italian Creek Road

As a part of our Labor Day Foray we decided to close the loop back to Taylor Park. Here are a few picture and some notes on the drive.

The Italian Creek road runs from Cement Creek Road to Taylor Park and is a moderate high clearance 4wd road. Italian Creek is Access from the Reno Divide Road.  Reno Divide road climbs out of Cement creek through the wonderful stand of pine trees.

Once the road summits the left turn goes towards the top of Reno Divide and straight ahead is Italian Creek Road. Unless you are ready for a very harry section with lots of exposure, do not take Reno Divide.

The Italian Creek road traverses through a number of drainage’s as is heads east towards Taylor Park. The view south is fantastic.

From the Italian Creek Road we could see the difficult section of Reno Divide. There was a Van off the road in the boulder field.

Once past the cabin the road descends through private property and down Italian Creek to the Taylor Park Road.

Tomas has lived in Colorado since age 5. Having grown up on the Western Slope of Colorado lots of time was spent in the Desert Southwest. Tomas' father introduced him to the love of 4 wheeling at an early age in the high mountains around Aspen, Colorado. While an avid Mountain Biker, Tomas and his Family enjoy adventures in the mountains and desert in the remote locations that can only be reached by 4wd. Day hikes are always a must when on the family trips. While enjoying outdoor activities he wants to share his love as a certified 4wd trainer and ski instructor. Tomas also enjoys caving and cave exploration. Tomas currently resides in Colorado Springs.
